The Moment Before Yes: Devotion for January 12
I was attempting to organize all things in storage over Christmas break and somewhere between old photos and half-remembered keepsakes, I pulled out a timeworn book from 1938 titled Christ and the Fine Arts . My sorting came to a full stop. I sat right down on the floor, surrounded by piles of things, and let myself be drawn into its pages. One of the treasures I found there was Arthur Hacker’s painting The Annunciation —a depiction of the moment when the angel tells Mary

Happy New Year: Devotion for January 5
The New Year invites us to look at the blessings in our lives. What do we take for granted? We reflect on the Old Year. We can’t change it, yet we hope to learn something from having lived through it. Each New Year, I like to share this devotion from Oswald Chambers’ My Utmost for His Highest. I pray it blesses you.

A Father's Love: Devotion for December 29
John’s Gospel tells us that “the Word became flesh.” That simple sentence carries enormous weight.

Unconditional Love: Devotion for December 22
This nativity reminds me that God’s love is not distant or pristine. It is close, ordinary, and deeply personal. It shows up in the familiar, the faithful, and the everyday. It curls up beside us and stays.

Sowing Seeds to All in Need: Devotion for December 15
As we move through this season, may our hearts mirror that kindly robin. May we give as God has given to us—freely, joyfully, and without exception. And may every seed of kindness we scatter point others back to the manger, where love himself was born.

Practicing Grace: Devotion for December 8
With humility he said, “You practiced grace on me. You gave me not what I deserved, but what I needed.”

Freedom from Want: Weekly Devotion for December 1
So if you ever find yourself thinking you’re the only one whose life isn’t as it “should” be, know this: you’re not alone.

The Abundant Life: Devotion for November 24
Jesus talked about abundance too, but his definition is nothing like the one we’re sold in glossy ads.

Hope Against Hope: Devotion for November 17
These are anxious times. And yet, hope still hums in the background.

Worthless or a Masterpiece?: Devotion for November 10
Just when you think you’ve seen it all. Today, we are not looking at some great Renaissance masterpiece, but something quite different.

Letting Go Of Assumptions: Devotion for November 3
Scripture is full of people who made assumptions about God. The invitation is simple: look again.

Grace In The Jordan: Devotion for October 27
As Paul reminds us: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”Ephesians 2:8–9

Cataract Surgery: Devotion for October 20
Worship, prayer, and time in God’s Word are like spiritual cataract surgery. They clear away the cloudiness. They wake us up from our self-centered slumber. They let the light in.

Living in the Melting Moment: Devotion for Monday, October 13
Right now is sacred. Right now is where God is. Don’t miss it.

Be Like Bach: Devotion for Monday, October 6

Imperfect People, Bold Mission: Devotion for September 29
Jesus doesn’t wait until we are perfect to send us. He sends us as we are, with all our weaknesses, because it is his strength and his Spirit that make the difference.

We're All In This Together: Devotion for September 22
The Trinity itself is the ultimate picture of unity. Throughout John’s Gospel, we hear about the oneness of the Father, the Son, the Spirit, and even the invitation for believers to share in that oneness.

Seeing Clearly: Devotion for September 15
How clearly are you seeing? In a world quick to judge and slow to listen, Jesus’ words about the speck and the log in Matthew 7 still hit close to home.

The Resurrection of Christ: Devotion for September 8
But Easter faith means living in the assurance that the stone has been rolled away, and nothing — not even death — has the final word.

When We Stumble: Devotion for September 1
"Though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand."—Psalm 37:24
