Sermon Series on The Apostles’ Creed: What Do Christians Really Believe?

On Sunday, April 19, we will begin a new sermon series exploring one of the oldest and most

important summaries of the Christian faith: The Apostles’ Creed.

For centuries, Christians around the world have spoken these words together in worship confessing faith in God the Father, in Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Spirit. Though the creed is brief, it is rich with meaning. In just a few lines it tells the story of the Bible and proclaims the heart of the gospel— God the creator, Jesus the Savior, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the promise of everlasting life.

In this series we will walk through the creed line by line, reflecting on what these ancient words mean for our lives today. The Apostles’ Creed reminds us that faith is not something we invent on our own. Instead, we share in a confession that has united Christians across generations and across the world.

We hope you will join us as we rediscover the depth and hope found in these familiar words: “I believe.”
