Rally Sunday Is Sunday, October 4!

Caramel rolls, Blessing Bags, and a new season of faith formation.

We look forward to gathering together on Sunday, October 4 for Rally Sunday — a beloved tradition that marks the beginning of a new year of worship, learning, and serving at Messiah.

This year's date is a little later than usual. Because Pastor Laurie will be traveling to Germany for much of September, we made a small but meaningful adjustment to the calendar. We hope the later date also gives families a chance to settle into their fall routines before diving into another season of ministry together.

After Worship: Homemade Caramel Rolls

Following the worship service, join us for fresh, homemade caramel rolls — a sweet way to reconnect after the summer months and celebrate the start of something new. Our youth will be selling the rolls as a fundraiser for camps and the National Youth Gathering in Minneapolis, so your sweet tooth is doing good work. Please note there will be no Elm@11 worship service on October 4, so our entire congregation can celebrate together.

This Year's Service Project: Blessing Bags

We'll be assembling Blessing Bags for three of our community partners:

• The Neighborhood Church

• The VA

• Fargo North High School

It's a meaningful project for every generation — filling bags with essential supplies, thoughtful gifts, and heartfelt prayers to share God's love in practical ways. A full list of suggested donation items can be found in The Messenger. We hope you'll come ready to serve.

A New Year of Faith Formation

Rally Sunday marks the return of Sunday School for children of all ages, with welcoming classrooms, caring teachers, and opportunities to grow in faith and friendship.

Club 56 — for students in grades 5 and 6 — also begins a new year under the leadership of Bud, our youth director. Club 56 is a space for fun, real conversation, and meaningful connection as students prepare for Confirmation in the 9th grade.

Speaking of Confirmation, students will gather for their first session on Wednesday, October 7, at 7:00 p.m. in the youth room. We look forward to kicking off another year of learning and discipleship together.

We hope you'll join us on October 4 as we begin a new season of growing in faith, serving our neighbors, and celebrating the life we share together at Messiah. All are welcome.
