Noisy Change for November & December
The New Life Center is our Advent Focus for mission giving for November and December 2026. NLC is a northside men’s shelter whose mission statement is “to guide people experiencing homelessness or addiction towards holistic transformation through the love of Jesus.” That one sentence says so much!

NLC offers many services, such as:
The Harbor Program is a short-term shelter program designed to provide safety, sobriety, and stability for men experiencing homelessness.
The Passport Program is a specialized housing and support initiative for homeless U.S. military veterans.
The Medical Respite Program is a short-term residential program that helps men experiencing homelessness recover safely from acute illness, injuries, and medical procedures.
The Genesis Program is a faith-based, long-term residential recovery program for men (18 and older) dealing with addiction, homelessness, and trauma.
Two NLC Thrift Stores are open to the public and provide work opportunities for individuals connected to the shelter and recovery programs. They are a key training ground for learning the practical skills that help men transition to self-sufficiency and employment.
How can we help?
Messiah Lutheran Church has a long history of supporting NLC financially and with donations of goods and clothing. The leftovers from the 2026 Annual Messiah $5 Bag Sale were given to NLC, and we heard they were quite pleased with those donations.
Our Noisy Change collections on November 8 and December 13 will be for NLC. There is so much information and so many volunteer opportunities that we invite you to visit their website: FargoNLC.org.
More information will also be in the December Messiah Messenger.
Mark your calendars for Noisy Change Sunday: November 8!
