The Songs of Advent: Celebrate Advent at Messiah
November 29 – December 24, 2026

When God begins keeping ancient promises, people can’t help but sing. This Advent, we’ll listen to the songs that rose up as God drew near: Israel’s cry of longing, Mary’s bold song of hope, Zechariah’s song of the dawn breaking through the darkness, and the angels’ announcement of peace to a world that badly needed it.
Advent is a season of waiting, and these songs give us something to sing while we wait. They remind us that God hasn’t forgotten anyone still hoping for healing, justice, direction, or peace. Each week we’ll hear one of these songs and join in with a hymn that carries its message. On Christmas Eve, all of these songs come together, and heaven’s song becomes ours.
Join us Sundays and Wednesdays this Advent, November 29 through Christmas Eve, as we learn the songs of the season together.
