It's $5 Bag Sale Season — and We Need Your Help!
Fall is here, and so is one of our favorite Messiah traditions: the $5 Bag Sale. This year's sale benefits two outstanding local nonprofits — the We Defy Foundation (wedefyfoundation.org) and the Red River Children's Advocacy Center (recac.org) — and we'd love your help making it a success.
Shop The Sale
Join us for Messiah’s $5 Bag Sale, a one-day, indoor garage sale that turns shopping into giving.
For just $5, you’ll receive a bag to fill with as many gently used items as you can fit. It’s an amazing deal — and a great way to support a good cause!
Larger items, like furniture or specialty goods, will be individually priced.
You’re also welcome to donate more than $5 if you feel called to give extra — 100% of proceeds will go to charity.
How You Can Help
Setup begins Wednesday, September 23, following W.O.W. worship, and we'll be accepting volunteer help and donation drop-offs on:
Thursday, September 24 from 10 AM to 6 PM
Friday, September 25 from 9 AM to 5 PM
No sign-up required. Come when you can — even a few minutes makes a difference. As the saying goes, "many hands make light work!"
Where to Drop Off
Bring your donations to the Connection Center and look for the large garage door on the southwest corner of the building.
What to Bring
We gladly accept clean, gently used, intact, and working items of all kinds. Please note we are unable to accept old metal bed springs, large box TVs, tires, or greasy items.
Consider this your invitation to finally tackle those closets, drawers, and garage corners you've been meaning to get to. Your castoffs become someone else's treasure — and support two great local causes in the process.
