Spreading the gospel is an important mission of our church and the Great Commission of our Lord. The Hour of Worship has been achieving that aim and reaching the people of our community since its debut in 1967, making it one of the longest-running worship service broadcasts in America.
The Hour of Worship appears each Sunday morning at 11:00am on Channel 6, WDAY-TV in Fargo. The broadcast reaches shut-ins and others who are unable to attend a service in person, along with those who are searching for something to fill a spiritual void in their lives.
A Television Ministry Board administers all funding for the Hour of Worship and works closely with WDAY-TV and the worship staff of Messiah to ensure each service is meaningful to both the congregation sitting in the pews and the congregation viewing via television.
